Andre Lavrillier 'Unknown Warrior" bronze plaque medal

This is an iconic image. It is by Andre Lavrillier and the obverse of the rectangular bronze plaque depicts a helmeted soldier in the arms of a woman wearing an olive leaf garland. It is inscribed "Au Soldat Inconnu" beneath the image and is signed "Andre Lavrillier". The rim is stamped "Bronze 1982" and has the cornucopia mark of La Monnaie de Paris.
